It doesn’t look like I will be able to take my dream trip anytime soon. What can I do in the meantime?
So many of us are longing to travel, and it seems the longing increases when we’re told we can’t go anywhere. But planning for the future is important to our mental well-being. Here are some ideas to help you spend your time productively in the “dreaming” phase.
Watch CAA Virtual Visit seminars online. Discover more about your dream destinations and decide where to go next. Register for upcoming events or tune into past recordings at caamanitoba.com/virtualvisits.
Talk to our travel consultants. CAA has the most experienced and knowledgeable team, and we’re always ready to chat about your future travel plans.* You can find a complete list of our team at caamanitoba.com/travel/consultants.
If you were impacted by a cancelled trip in 2020 and have a future travel credit, now is a great time to consider how you will use it. Travel consultants can discuss the options for rebooking your trip and ensure you receive all the benefits included in your credit.*
Find out more about travel insurance. Now more than ever, travel insurance is vital, so take advantage of your 10% discount as a CAA Member. Visit caamanitoba.com/travelinsurance for details.
Ensure your passport is valid. Some countries require a minimum 6-month window prior to your passport expiration date to gain entry. Be proactive and get your passport photos taken at your nearest CAA Store: they’re free for CAA Plus and Premier Members. While you’re there, pick up an International Driver’s Permit. It’s something else you can check off your travel to-do list.
What’s the easiest way to take advantage of the CAA Rewards program?
When I talk to Members about the benefits of their CAA Membership, most are familiar with roadside assistance, maps and hotel discounts. But many are surprised to learn about saving at hundreds of CAA Rewards partners. Did you know CAA Rewards provides daily deals on shopping, home improvements, dining, wellness, beauty, automotive services, and events, among others? Many partners offer CAA Dollars—which you can use towards membership renewal, travel and merchandise in our CAA Stores.
The best way to find Rewards partners and access your immediate savings is through our new and improved CAA Mobile App. Discounts, savings and CAA Dollars are at your fingertips—anytime, anywhere. Download it on the Apple App Store or Google Play.
On the app, you can also track your savings, see your CAA Dollar balance and request roadside assistance. Scroll through Rewards partner offers on the main page to see what deals are available based on your location. Or you can easily search the app by offer, partner name or category (e.g. restaurants, shopping, automotive).
I highly recommend using the CAA Mobile App to get the most out of the CAA Rewards program anywhere you go. To learn more and find simple ways to get the most out of the CAA Mobile App, visit caamanitoba.com/app.
