At CAA Manitoba, our passion is safety and we want all road users – pedestrians, motorists and cyclists – to be safe wherever their adventures take them. As the weather warms up, cyclists in Manitoba are getting ready to hit the open road and CAA wants all cyclists to be prepared for the summer season.

That’s why, for the third year in a row, CAA Manitoba partnered with Bike Winnipeg and The WRENCH to host the free, open-to-all Bike Tune-Up Day.

On Saturday, June 1, cyclists of all ages and experience levels came out to the Valour Community Centre in Winnipeg to get their bikes tuned up, enjoy free refreshments and prepare for the summer cycling season. Cyclists were also taught repair and maintenance basics, so they are equipped to do their own bike tune-ups in the future.

CAA is proud to partner with community organizations like Bike Winnipeg and The WRENCH who are experts in bike safety and inspire Manitobans to experience our community by bicycle.

Before you hit the road for the season, visit our cycling safety page to brush up on the cycling laws in Manitoba and get some helpful safety tips. Remember to keep at least one metre of distance between cyclists and motorists. And if you run into a problem that can’t be fixed on the road, CAA Bike Assist® can transport you and your bicycle to the nearest repair shop*.

Whether you are exploring this summer on two feet, two wheels or even four, remember to share the road so we can all travel safely.
