“Driving is my favourite activity. I often joke that if I weren’t a musician, I’d be a trucker, so I can spend more time on the road,” says Micah Erenberg. He’s a member of Winnipeg retro-pop combo The Secret Beach, championing the fabulously named, Manitoba-inspired album We Were Born Here, What’s Your Excuse? Another thing Erenberg digs — discovering music through gigging. “Local musicians make up much of what I listen to on the road. These are some of my all-time favourites.”
