Whether you love camping and going to the beach or cottage, here are some great spots in Ontario to help make your summer dreams come true.
Cool Camping
If you don’t have the gear for camping, try an oTENTik—a cross between an A-frame cabin and a tent on a raised wooden platform. Families can rent one of 24 oTENTiks at Camp Henry, in Point Pelee National Park, bookable via Parks Canada.
Beach Vibes
Relax, immersed in the ’70s-inspired, beach-town vibes of The June Motel in Sauble Beach, along Lake Huron. Spend afternoons poolside or play in the sand. Then, go to Heydays, the motel’s retro dining lounge, for lobster rolls and fresh-cut fries.
Resort Life
The whole family will enjoy Sunnylea Resort, including Fido (pets are welcome for a fee). Cottage and cabin rentals on the banks of Little Lake in Port Severn include access to the pool, beach volleyball court and water toys, such as kayaks, canoes and paddle boards.
