A veteran broadcaster at CBC, Toronto’s Talia Schlanger added “recording artist” to her CV this year, issuing the acclaimed Grace for the Going. She knows a song with, ahem, “drive” when she hears one. “A road trip is a perfect opportunity to focus my eyes while letting my ears wander. I’m drawn to music with intrigue and layers, and I always include downtempo tearjerkers to make space for the feelings only a long road trip can conjure.”
