From renting a van to decorating your new place, moving can be an expensive proposition. But if you’re a CAA Member, setting down new roots will be a little easier on your wallet. Here’s why.
1. You can save on van rentals

Do-it-yourself types can save 12% on a moving van from Penske Truck Rental, which has more than 20 locations across southern Ontario. Members will also earn 5% in CAA Dollars on truck rentals and moving supplies.
2. You can save on movers

If you’d rather have someone do the heavy lifting for you, reach out to AMJ Campbell, one of Canada’s largest moving companies. Members can earn 100 CAA Dollars, while saving on packing rates, storage fees and packing supplies.
3. You can save on locksmithing

When you move into a new place, one of the first things you’ll want to do is outfit your locks with new pins—a process called re-keying. Re-keying is much cheaper, and just as secure, as replacing the entire lock. With Pop-A-Lock Canada, a locksmithing service, Members save 10% on re-keying and earn 5% in CAA Dollars.
4. You can earn CAA Dollars when you buy renovation supplies

Chances are you’re going to want to do a little DIY’ing once you move into your new place. Luckily, Members can earn 2% in CAA Dollars on all online purchases with Home Depot.
5. You can save on decor

Once you’ve moved in, you can get down to the fun stuff: decorating. CAA Members save 5% on all in-store and online purchases at Bouclair.
